Partnership Proclamation

project19St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Albany Haiti Mission Partnership Proclamation Where as the parishes of St. Andrews Albany, New York and Christ the King, Lahoye Haiti have shared a common understanding that God has chosen a common path for our parishes at this time. Where as we believe that God’s power of salvation will be manifested to all nations. Where as we affirm the unity of the Church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and we pledge to work with the parish of Christ the King, Lahoye Haiti to demonstrate in the world God’s justice, peace, love and reconciliation; And where as, we agree to exchange, prayer, fellowship, music, goods, services and information to enable us to understand each other’s context and to fulfill our commitment of mutual mission and solidarity. We the vestry of St. Andrews now proclaim a new deeper relation of partnership in mission with the parish of Christ the King, Lahoye Haiti based upon our common belief that Jesus Christ is the Lord. As partners in Christ we pledge ourselves to work together to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. We believe further that for our part in this partnership that we will: Partnership: Promote this mission partner relationships and the sharing of people and worldly goods so as to provide opportunities for participation in the lives and ministries of our respective churches. Consultations: That we will make mission visits as needed and allow visits by both parties as needed to study new developments in each context for mission and to explore together matters of theology, mission policy and development. Communication: That we will make sure that communication in carrying out the partner relationship shall be open and transparent to our congregations and respective diocese. Review and Evaluation: We will review and evaluate this partner relationship annually and to renew our commitment to it formally every five years, trusting God will lead us into a deeper understanding and relationship in mission.
